Dry Needling

Following injuries or other degenerative processes, many athletes suffer from muscular tightness and spasm, otherwise known as trigger points. This can lead to secondary dysfunction such as chronic pain, tendinitis, decreased mobility, and other disorders. After identifying the source of pain, functional dry needling involves advancing a small filament needle into the related muscles, eliciting a small twitch response and relaxation of the muscle. Stimulating these trigger points can “reboot” the muscle to alleviate both the original problem area as well as the secondary pain

A a professional athlete in the sport of track and field "maintenance" is an intricate part of the sport. My experience and the services of "dry needling" and "mobility" at HUI Cross-fit have worked wonders for me. I don't usually believe in a quick fix but that's until walking thru the doors at HUI Cross-fit. The amenities available have helped me a tremendous amount since becoming a professional track and field athlete. At a fair cost with client specific treatment I couldn't ask for anything better than the services I receive once I step through the doors. A great lively atmosphere, with great people not only working hard to their own physical and fitness goals but making themselves available to any and everyone who aims to reach their own!
